make-up 2 (Ed Johnson)

The colts this last week re-signed Ed Johnson a defensive tackle. Johnson was released last year after being arrested for possession of marijuana. He was happy to get a second chance with the team that gave him his first shot at the NFL. They signed him to two year deal. This shows what the post-Dungy era is going to look like. Signing these kids that Dungy would never had because they are not positive leaders in the community. If this is how the new coach is going to run these things, the Steelers are goin to win a lot more AFC championships in the coming years.

make-up 1 (Manning)

The colts have a new line coach and a new offensive coordinator. How does this affect Payton Manning? He does not like it, he want both of them back with the colts. Howard Mudd the line coach and Tom Moore make the right decision about retiring, and they should stay retired. What does this mean to Manning. It means that Manning will not likely put the numbers he has used to. This also mean that the colts will be harder to stop because they won't be so one sided in their offensive attack. This will lead to the colts becoming a better team, and hard to beat in the playoffs.

week 16 (senior citizens)

In the movie we watched they talked about how the senior citizen are using our money to pay for their medicare. These people are retired I understand that but by the time that I'm going to be old enough to need the medicare that my generation is paying for there will be none. The senior citizens are goin to the doctors when ever they feel like because they aren't paying anything for it. So we are paying for the seniors to have social hour at our expense. Most of these people have more than enough money to pay for there own medical insurence. So does that make sence that they get to have a hay day useing our tax dollars to pay for anything that they want.

(no prom for him)

In Ohio there was a high school senior boy was suspended for going to his girlfriend's prom. The young man goes to a very strict Christian school the only has about 30 students in it. This school has a policy against holding hands, dancing and anything that goes along with a prom. The student had to get his principle's signature in order to go to the prom because she goes to public school. The school board said that he would be suspended if he attended and they would expell him if were to drink alcohole or have sex. The kid attended and will most likely not be able to make the walk with his fellow graduates.

week 15 (stimulus bill)

This past week a radio sataion ask viewers to call in and tell them how they would solve the economical problem. There was a Wisconsin man who called in. He had an idea that I believe could be effective. He said that the Federal Government is spending so much money in stimulas bills. If they instead would that money and pay every person in the work force who is 50 or older a million dollars to retiere for good. The catch to it is that they would have to pay off their morgage to their house and buy a new car that is made by an American based car company. This would would boost the housing industy and automotive industry at the same time and open up jobs for the unemployed.
This sounds like a plan that is to good for any Congressman to ever think of. This is truely a great American plan that would probly never happen.

make up blog (vick and dungy)

It was in the news paper over the weekend that Tony Dungy, former Colts head coach will start councaling Mike Vick. Everyone Remembers Vick for his mistakes not for the supreme talent on the field that he had. This was the man that set the record for fastest 40 meter dash time at the NFL combine before he was drafted. This man left college at Virginia Tech early to enter the draft and was the number one overall pick in the draft. He turned the Falcans around in his time and was one of the biggest headachs in the league for deffencive corinators to form a plan to stop.
Dungy is one of the most respected men in all of sports and a very faith filled man. Only good can come out of Dungy talking and working with him. This man can turn anyone into a beleiver and a responcible man. Just look at what he did with Edgerine James, a young person coming out of Miama U. and out of what is concidered the worst neighborhood in the country. Know Edge hasn't had any behavior peoblem while in the league.

week 14 (swine flu)

This week the US are starting to become scared of what is being called swine flu. This straind of flu has hit Mexico really hard killing an estimated 150 people already and it is starting to spread in the United States now as well. There have been cases in New York, Texas, California, Ohio, and as of today Indiana. With the one Indiana case being a Notre Dame student. If this continues it will cause as big of a scare as the bird flu.
This scare is one to be taking serious. It is not something to freak out about.

no toy guns in Ark. (week 13)

This week the senate in Arkansas OKed a bill to make real looking toy guns illegal. This whole ordeal has came up after a boy was shot by police when he had a realistic toy gun in hand. The police shot him because they thought it was a real gun. The kid had taken the red tip off of the toy. I believe that the senate was right in what they did because this is a matter of safety on both sides of this conflict. This will save the lives of pedestrians who don't have a real weapon the police will be able to reconize that they aren't a danger to others.

what do you think about the ruling in this case was it right or wrong.

major conferences vs mid-major (week 10)

I'm in the mood to talk about the big dance. With the NCAA basketball tournament the question has raised again do you put the 65 best teams in the tournament or do you award the mid-major conference champions. This year that question was bigger than ever with the Big East being as competitive as it was this year it is had to explain why some of the teams didn't make it when they were better than some of the teams that did because they won their little conference championship. A example of this would be Notre Dame they play in the Big East and beat the number 1 overall seed Louisville by 32 points this year, and didn't make it while a team who plays in the WCC and was 19-13 did. This doesn't make sense, just because a no name team won a no name conference championship doesn't mean they are good enough to with the big dogs in the big dance.

So with all the teams that are good enough to play in the big dance but get left out because of the smaller conference teams are in the tournament insted. The NIT tournament was created for a reason. I think that
